I recommend using Intel CPUs no older than the second generation of the Intel Core processors (Core i7, i5, i3) AKA **Sandy Bridge(Jan. 2011)** for those that want to utilize [Intel® Quick Sync Video](https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/quick-sync-video/quick-sync-video-general.html). Though, if you're concerned about power efficiency I would recommend 7th Generation or newer.
